The Cooking Never Stops

A report from BFBS about the catering arrangements at Camp Bastion

Feeding troops on deployment is a massive operation. The Ministry of Defence spends around £30 million a year catering for personnel in Afghanistan. But as drawdown continues and troops come home, that operation is changing.

Food storage down from 100 ISO containers to 60.

The drawdown will see civilian staff being replaced by military personnel with a steady reduction in fresh food down eventually to Operational Ration Packs (ORP)

Perhaps we could club together and buy the Boss an army surplus container fitted out as a kitchen extension…anyone know when his birthday is?

Considerate, but still Gloomy.

:) Ha, yeah he didn’t look the friendliest either! I wouldn’t want to stand between him and his ISO of food with that in his hand!
