This video is only a couple of minutes long but it for me, it brings home the simple fact that building ships, maintaining industrial capacity and enhancing the security of the UK is not about bombs, missiles, ships or tanks.

Exactly. Especially the nameless within HMG, Bae or whoever who made these carriers hamstrung to begin with at initial design by not giving them an angled deck and Cat and trap from the off to operate other aircraft if we have to, IF F35 goes wrong, too expensive, cancelled, etc.
I pray F35 works or we are royally screwed.
Losing half the RN to have only 1 with other in mothballs isn’t great either for the money we are paying.
We need both, one as strike carrier other as LPH as needed and this capability could work.
Well there’ll be plenty of space to have a game of 5-a-side on the flight deck, hangar, wherever really. Just park the odd few F35’s on the deck, and turn the hangar into an awesome floating nightclub.
