    Well it doesn’t exist yet for one.

    Another thing is how do you target it? Probably from a manned or unmanned ISTAR asset – at which point isn’t it more cost effective to just drop a bomb on the target from the ISTAR asset?

    we have seen it and if we have total air supremacy allowing the UAV to target the MBT on request why nit simply have a helo or CAS aircraft with a Brimstone or Hellfire that could react much faster.

    I think fire shadow could fulfill the role where the infantry call upon fire support to take out a target.

    See it, tell them to fire it off towards your location and tell them the target their looking for while you update all the way to the target if it moves.

    No need for a UAV.

    I like the concept behind this, and the maximisation of technology derived from CAMM and other areas (kinetic energy killer), MBDA are dealing with tehnology advancement most correctly and dynamically, involving, and encouraging the involvement of the whole company everywhere………….all kudos to them!

    HOPLITE has a lot of possibility but is a concept at the moment but as I’ve alread said, a lot of it is derived from what is currentl available. 2035? Nah, expect to see this progress a lot sooner than that. For the moment, Sea Ceptor and FAADS are where the immediate priority lies………………….3-5 years time that could easily change.

    MBDA has the habit of publishing one ‘vision’ for some gold-plated, bug-free high tech stuff per year. It’s a marketing ploy.

    Similar: DCNS (shipyard) with its annual freak ship concepts.
