A compelling inside view of the Royal Air Force based at the largest RAF base in the world.
A 7 x 60min observational documentary with unbridled access never granted by the MoD before. We spent 6 months with the Men and Women based at Brize Norton as they fly around the world inc Afghanistan, Cyprus and the Falklands; delivering Troops, cargo and dealing with emergency situations.

is this for real ??
I am not sure as a PR effort it has been brilliantly judged.
The Flt Lt Mover is comedy gold when he spontaneously tries to “muck in” with the lads loading baggage and the first bergen is a “bit heavy”
Think some of them could do with laying off the pies for a while as well!
I haven’t watched it, is it that bad? Airforce in Afghanistan bad, warship bad? ;)
Mind you these sorts of shows are never aimed at people on here.
It would have to be pretty grim to match those recent RN series
Not as bad as warship? Well at least not a disaster then.
Being based at RAF Brize Norton this is just train wreck TV. Can’t help watching it though. There are alot of people at work who owe beers.
lol glad I am not based there… poor lads featured on there; gonna get some stick. At least with those naff Naval series, ya had just the fellow blokes and ladies on an isolated ship… here, an entire base of people to take the piss :D
I can’t say I recollect it being as big as described. But I remember the Officer’s mess, Spotlight (the nightclub), the Naafi store and bowling alley well ……… none of which are included in the film. :-)
