Port Stanley Infrastructure Developments

As the oil and gas industry develops in the Falkland Islands the existing port infrastructure will be wholly inadequate.

As I am in the middle of a ship to shore logistics series that mentioned the FIPASS installation I few interesting links are worth a read

Excellent, the more Falkland Islanders do this sort of thing the better. Imagine the economic benefits. Tourism, permanent base for BAS, Antarctic stuff. Decent South Atlantic base for Grey funnel. Get the oil flowing! Get the islanders rich and investment hungry, wonder what the argies will do then? Hopefully come on blended knee looking for someone to invest in their country.
