Could this be the start of a FRES LCS hybrid. No need for specialist vehicles anymore just stick a different container on the back :-)
@ Jed – I totally forgot that the Flex module was a British invention in Thunderbirds. And the Danes have been claiming the credit all this time. Maybe the RAF and the USAF should start a joint development program to build thunderbird 2, would come in pretty handy.
Thunderbird 2 has got to be the best millitary idea since some baket got a loaf of bread and sliced before selling it.
Vtol high speed longrange heavy lift. It would cost squillions to design but byvthe cringe it would be useful!
Btw this container thingy is based on the TATRA chasis which has been the dogs naughty bits for of road stabillity an abillity for 40 years. On the rougb stuf ther is little even today that can keep up an live with it.
AND THEY DO A WHEELED APC VERSION. But ultra reliable ultra good of road, proven COTS mechanicles would not interrest our wheeled fres program. Nor would the idea of parts commonality with our truck fleet. That would be silly……
@ The Alphabet Soup…I think the Boss might want us to club together and buy him one of these for Christmas…
GNB
Looks like something that Gerry Anderson would have had rolling out of Thunderbird 2 !
Sorry Gloomy, can’t afford it. He’ll have to settle for a second hand Russian SRBM transporter. :P
It’s like a Stolly….
Only 9,900 Euros ….. http://www.milweb.co.uk/classifieds/large_image.php?ad=67860&cat=4
(although that one looks a bit rough)
Wonder if it can do all that with the container full of something other than air.
Stop being a bloody spoilsport :)

Wasn’t the DANA SPG based upon a Tatra?
