Think Defence hopes to start sensible conversations about UK defence issues, no agenda or no campaign but there might be one or two posts on containers, bridges and mexeflotes!
Specific naval considerations should include an estimate for the number of party guests.
Admirals should be sure to leave 0.75sq.m (about 8sq.ft) per cocktail party guest after taking into account the bar area, and perhaps some seating too. Consider also whether you want to lay out tables for nibbles or have waiters circulating.
One simply does not provide seating on the flight deck for cocktail parties – maximise the schmusing by having ones guests standing ! VIP’s can be seated in the wardroom :-)
