  1. A very interesting and balanced article. There are definitely still some issues in the short term that are contributing to the delay in getting platforms into service. One of the issues is alluded to in UK DEF STAN 00-970, as by regulation the platform should meet that standard, but isn’t designed to do so if its a non-UK platform (i.e. everything at the moment). As such its now extremely difficult to procure non-UK platforms and so we get the result like Airseeker whereby the whole certification is bypassed and just signed off by the SoS.
