New Long Read and a Quick Update

From my last update I reminded everyone that whilst the Think Defence blog would be winding down, the Think Defence long form content would not be.

The latest long read is a piece on Multidrive Vehicles, arguably, an opportunity lost for the British Army and UK defence industry.

What else is happening?

Various bits of site tinkering, streamlining the database but mainly, all the long reads are getting a complete refresh and copied into downloadable PDF’s documents.

Am spending less time on Think Defence so this final stage might take a while, but stuff is happening.

About The Author

Think Defence hopes to start sensible conversations about UK defence issues, no agenda or no campaign but there might be one or two posts on containers, bridges and mexeflotes!

Always pleased to see new material from yourself TD, long form is the best form. Happy New Year!

Just to remind everyone that the think defence open thread is on wordpress.

Thanks for coming back with an informed and challenging fix of defence, TD. I can understand the need to step back, shame that you couldn’t make the blog more ‘commercially’ viable, but either way, I thank you for your efforts.

how about this as a solution to the ocean debate? in ww2 merchant ships had superststructures removed and a flat top fitted. why not do that to a bay class?
