Think Defence hopes to start sensible conversations about UK defence issues, no agenda or no campaign but there might be one or two posts on containers, bridges and mexeflotes!
Merry Christmas TD! Hope Father Christmas delivers that ISO container you asked for
jackstaff
ST,
Our blog boss will be receiving one of a range of chimney-deliverable models, handled more easily on the sleigh since Father Christmas subcontracted with the Danes to StanFlex the old girl as part of the “Adaptable Santa” initiative. (Leaner, faster, smarter — remember, elves are the primary cost driver.)
And before I go play the part for the younger half of my brood out in the wilds of Pacific Standard Time, for my unaccountably-Tory brother from another mother X and the other boosters of watery items, a little doggerel in honour of OGH’s stellar dual role as the Christmas Angel and Widow Twanky in the RAF High Wycombe panto, join right in ’cause you know where it’s headed:
While Rock Apes watched
their Tiffs by night
all sitting
on a bank ….

Cheers!

Santa seems to have missed my house this year. Dodgy targetting!
Anyway, gawd bless you one & all (even mr.fred) & may TD get a container load of pressies. Though TD would just play with the container.
wasn’t sure everyone deserved the label of “chaps”.

“Is anyone bored with Christmas yet?”
yeah since about the 2nd of november!!

Well, that wasn’t too bad a day actually. Being plied with free alcohol has its advantages. Even the local corner store near my sisters was handing out free cups of vodka and wine to every customer. Funnily enough we had to go back to the shop three times in the end….
P.S. Word from the MoD is that Santas sleigh wasn’t tracked this year as all the radars were turned off as a cost saving measure. Even Santa has been hit hard. Reports are that Dasher and Dancer had to be “let go” to save on running costs. On the plus side, Santa’s got a brand new pair of leather boots…

I believe he was fitted for but not with presents.

phil, as this not really a specific thread, tap leatherman raptor in your search engine, think you might find it interesting.

paul g,
Leatherman Tools? Blimey — talk about Christmas-themed porn ….
Even if the crabs get Dave sooner than RCAF, let them eat fruitcake. This is one of the obvious places where the loss of Nimrod really hurts, letting any Johnny Foreigner cross the EEZ unmonitored with duty-free goods ….

Chris B.,
God I miss the proper booziness of Christmas in the old country. Yule never quite died off, thank Thor. Also:

Happy New Year to TD, hope 2013 will provide as much interesting reading as all the previous ones
