For some time there have been plans to transition government department’s websites to a single government portal, a one stop shop for government web content.
The MoD, as have other departments, have been preparing for some time and is amongst the first six departments to make the transition.

But it seems there are a few gremlins yet to be resolved.
The two posts below clearly show an update date of this week, not a published date, but it was included in this weeks RSS news feed so it would appear to the reader that Liam Fox was back at the MoD commenting on the SDSR!
A publish date is not an update date and the news feed needs to make sure that an update is not published at the same time as an update.
There is also an issue with old content that has not been migrated yet, instead of simply redirecting to the same article at the new location you get a splash page and a link to the homepage of the new site.
