Nails – Lets have her in Helmand

This is the moment a heroic granny beat off a gang of would-be armed robbers at a Northampton jewellery shop using nothing but her handbag.

Four men aged 18, 22, 25 and 39 were arrested in connection with the incident.

What makes me laugh more than anything about this is the distance she runs before wading in; everyone else is flapping until her handbag windmilling floors one of the robbers and then all manner of bystanders spot the opportunity to join in the fun.

    Good for her – but the sad fact is that brave individuals trying to resist armed robbers seem to end getting killed as often as they succeed.
